Location: London (matchday travel required)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Football Communications Manager to join our Communications Team. You will be responsible for working across a variety of internal and external media platforms, including television, radio, print, online and social media. The Football Communications Manager will sit within the Communications team, work closely with the Club’s Football Department, and report to the Director of Football Operations.
The Football Communications Manager is a role which is crucial to ensure that the Club has a market leading approach to football-related communications. Football is a fast-paced and dynamic sporting environment in which media strategy is key. It is therefore essential that the Club’s football-focused communications are managed in a modern and effective manner.
You will be responsible for delivering the football communications and media strategy and ensuring positive and consistent messaging across all FFC media platforms. A confident communicator, you will have the skills and ability to build and influence relationships with a strong desire to provide service excellence to internal and external customers.
This role will involve working home and away matches throughout the football season.
Skills and experience:
The Football Communications Manager will have experience of working for or with international companies along with an appreciation and understanding of the synergies between UK and US sport (particularly as it relates to football).
Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages is essential for this role. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills along with a flexible and highly organised approach. In addition, candidates should be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:
Candidates should have a strong academic background and ideally be educated to degree level in either languages and/or journalism.
