An attacking midfield player who can also play a range of other positions, Luca is an exciting prospect who follows in the long tradition of players coming from the States to Fulham.
A youth international, de la Torre impressed while training with the First Team in the summer of 2016, and was promptly given his debut in the EFL Cup, playing 88 minutes of our 3-2 win at Leyton Orient in Round One and with a 97% pass accuracy. He went on to make three senior appearances that season.
For Fulham's Under-23s he made 22 appearances throughout the 2016/17 campaign, scoring two goals, whilst creating 30 chances and had a pass accuracy of 88.3%.
de la Torre linked up with the USA Under-20s team in February of 2017 and won their maiden CONCACAF Championship at this level, starting almost every game. He was called up to their World Cup squad in the summer, and made two assists and scored the latest ever goal for the Americans in the 94th minute, earning a crucial point to get out of the group.
